Bad Bad Hats + Special Guest Emma Jeanne
Bad Bad Hats are an indie rock trio from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Known for bringing a joyful, exuberant presence to their live shows, touring with The Beths, Margaret Glaspy, The Front Bottoms, Hippo Campus, and Third Eye Blind, the group took specific care to bring their fun-loving spirit to their third LP, Walkman.
Kerry (guitar/vocals), Chris (bass), and Con (drums) let their collective hair down on Walkman, bringing raucous and explosive riffs alongside witty lyrics. Though you might not notice from their indie rock exterior, Bad Bad Hats draws a heavy influence from classic pop songwriting that shines through in their hooky choruses and strong melodic sensibilities.

Mike Munson
When asked, Mike Munson (Winona, MN) tells people he plays American music. With over a decade of long drives to well-lit, expansive stages, tiny dive bars, and everything in between, Munson has seen plenty of the country that influences his songwriting. He is a listener first, soaking up the chord changes and non-traditional tunings of players from rural Mississippi to Chicago, studying the mastery of Fred McDowell and Charlie Christian alike.

Ian Alexy | Sunday Strum Day
Rock-and-roll vagabond Ian Alexy moved to Duluth 20 years ago and launched a music career performing in a variety of Americana and folk bands — including Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank with his brother Teague. The group recorded five albums, toured the nation and scored a hit in Green Bay Packerland with the song “Old Number Four.” A 2008 move to the Twin Cities saw the formation of Ian Alexy and the Deserters where his songwriting expanded into funk, rock and world music. Now back in Duluth, Alexy is a member of the group Babie Eyes.

The Earth Rider Brewery Fest Field on the first Sunday of each month May through September is the location for a gathering of Twin Ports artisans offering a fine assortment of locally made indie oddities and craft goods. Local craftsmen assemble to sell their unique and handmade goods direct to the public in this family friendly family market. Live music, beer and shopping local is the name of the game.

A survivor and advocate, Mary is often invited to perform and speak about her healing process surrounding #MeToo of which she shares in her song “Petty Misdemeanor” (The Majesty of Beasts, 2017).
