Based out of Duluth, MN, The Brothers Burn Mountain are a soulful, energetic, eclectic duo of real-life brothers, Ryan and Jesse Dermody. They've been playing music together everyday as a duo for more than 16 years. They've released 8 full-length albums of original music, and have toured across the country over the years, though especially in the Midwest, having played more than 1,400 live shows. Though difficult to try and put their sound into words, some have called it avant-garde blues rock, though basically it is really just good-ol' rock n' roll with a very personal and strange twist of bluesy tastes.

With legendary producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Horsegirl, Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr.) lending a hand, the resulting songs prove the band's evolution as songwriters, still trading in massive pop hooks that manage to convey yearning melancholy with a sense of maturity and perspective. Skarlett Woods wields a guitar and a powerfully expressive voice. She has a penchant for singing in an unusually wide breadth of tonal styles and inflections, making each song seemingly simple yet deeply engaging. Her original work can be daring and Jazzy like early 1970's Joni Mitchell, poetic like Bob Dylan, sweet and sexy like Norah Jones or laced with Americana like Brandi Carlile. Skarlett has opened for acts such as Stephen Stills, Judy Collins and the Blues Traveler. Hailed by Dave Franklin, (Dancing About Architecture), as a “worthy successor to the likes of James Taylor, Joan Baez”. Skarlett is currently working on her third full- length album, "Fire Patterns" aiming to be released at the end of 2025.
