Iron Range singer-songwriter Paul Lawrence in the soulful duo Kailyn & Paul. Lawrence has performed his acoustic folk, country and blues on stages from Minnesota to Taiwan. His third solo album, Taiwan Winter, engineered and mixed by Ryan Young of Trampled by Turtles, is soon to be released. || Nick Foytik || Hailing from the pines of Northern Wisconsin, Nick began playing guitar at 15. From early on, his songs have shown a connection to the blues, soul, and rock n’ roll. Now, with more than 20 years of experience, Nick continues to work as a guitar for hire, but spends most of his time getting his own music heard. As his solo act moves around the Midwest growing momentum, he also focuses on the Nick Foytik Band, catching the ears of their audiences anywhere they go. Between Howls are Ren Howl (violin) & Nick Howl (guitar). The two perform their own unique blend of Americana, rock, folk and soul- both through penned songs and the catalog’s of artists past and present. Originally from the upper midwest, the Howl’s met in college at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. They often crossed paths as members of various jazz ensembles, as well as at house parties where they would steal songs from each other’s playlists. After a jam session at a friend’s house helped them realize their chemistry together, the two began performing publicly in the winter of 2018.

Rich Mattson has been a musician and songwriter for more than 40 years, performing in Minnesota bands such as the Glenrustles, Ol’ Yeller and the Tisdales. In the past decade, he’s been collaborating with his partner Germaine Gemberling, who shares center stage and vocal work with him in the Northstars. Mattson holds down lead guitar, with Gemberling on acoustic guitar, Chris Petrack on drums, Dan Anderson on keys and Calvin Lund on bass.

The music vexes listeners with alluring vocals, haunting melodies, and mesmerizing blends of strings and percussion. Superior Siren is led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Laura Sellner. Since her solo debut in 2012, the musician has continued to enchant audiences with songs of unfeigned honesty and heartfelt emotions || THE SPINE STEALERS || The Spine Stealers are a Wisconsin-based folk band influenced by the northwood pines, 24/7 truck stop diners, heartbreak and dark lakes. The duo formed around late night bonfires in their shared hometown during the height of the pandemic where they learned guitar together and wrote songs inspired by their experiences of heartache and nostalgia.
