Jumpsuit Tuesdays | Weekly Residency
Come on out to the fest field and jump into Tuesday night, the new hump day with an evening of Jumpsuit | an instrumental funk/jam/fusion outfit based out of Duluth, MN. Prioritizing improvisation and spontaneous song writing, they aim to keep audiences engaged and never deliver a dull performance. Core members include Marshall Dillon, Manny Eisele, Calvin Lund, and Ian Hopp.

Lazy Lightning 420 | Cedar Sessions
Erik Berry (Trampled by Turtles) partnering with Duluth-based singer-songwriter Marc Gartman (Two Many Banjos, Glitteratti), and local folk hero Teague Alexy. Rather than simply performing their favorite Dead tunes, the trio are performing entire Grateful Dead concerts, drawing the set list from the records kept at Archive.org. While LazyLightning420 is essentially a mandolin-guitar duo, both players utilize an array of sound effect devices to present an electric concert. "I use an envelope filter on 'Shakedown Street,' says Berry. "I have some distortion pedals. It's a rock band at heart."

North End Nightmare | Halloween Bash with Big Wave Dave + Babie Eyes + Timothy Martin & The New Norm
It’s been a dozen years now since “Big Wave” Dave Adams and his crew began playing steady gigs. The lineup has shuffled over the years, but fully half of the 2023 members were there in 2011. The band’s mix of soul, funk and blues — and the singular mission to get people dancing — has made it a favorite at large festivals, private parties and practically every nightclub stage in the Twin Ports. Adams belts out the vocals, backed by Peter Knutson and Alex Piazza on guitars, Brian Wells on keys, Scott Millis on drums, Alex Nordehn on trombone, Matt Wasmund on baritone sax, and David Rode on trumpet.

Hiahli (high uh lie) is a live hip-hop band that plays rock n roll instruments. The high-octane MC, Cold Sweat, delivers his Golden-Age Hip-Hop lyrics over a variety of musical stylings. In addition to the usual fatback rhythms, you may hear some undercurrents of outlaw country, disco, and grungy rock. Hiahli is also known to throw in a few deep covers from the archives of hip-hop. || SOCKTOPUS : Hip-Hop/Rap/Pop Fusion band based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. || C-SILENCE: As C-Silence, Chad Brown has been steadily releasing singles and albums for more than a decade. Aiming for music that is conscious and poetic, he gives his sound big space between beats, words and synths.

Tres Osos means “three bears” in formal Spanish. In a Duluth translation, Tres Osos means three big, bearded hombres that can play ferocious bluegrass, country and folk music. The group features Nicholas Klee, Ian Kvale and Tim Leutgeb sharing vocal, mandolin, guitar, banjo and bass duties. They perform at bars and breweries all over town but favor woodsy, lake country watering holes where they can fish all day and romp all night — just like Yogi and his pals.

The Rhizomes emerged in 2019 from a conversation in a Chester Park alley. The three neighbors have been rocking out in neighborhood basements and local venues ever since. Their musical vibe is singer-songwriter storytelling with off-ramps into power pop and the occasional punk side eye. Witty and heartfelt, their songs explore how not to be a jerk amidst planetary and existential crisis. Erik Koskinen Band + Robinella
ERIK KOSKINEN || Erik Koskinen is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, whose music is not categorized by sub-genres. Stylistically he is on his own. Influenced by roots music of the Americas and the world, the rhythmic integrity and musical tone are as important as the lyrical content and the artistic intent.
Erik Koskinen’s Burning the Deal (released June 28, 2019 on Real Phonic Records/Tone Tree Music) is steeped in American roots traditions. Born in Fort Collins, Colorado, raised in Northern Michigan and upper New York state, then living in urban Minneapolis and now, rural Minnesota, Koskinen grew up with the rhythms of weather, factory towns, and farmlands. Koskinen worked in construction for years as he developed his music career, and he now resides on a farm near where he owns a recording studio in Cleveland, Minnesota, population 717. || ROBINELLA || Robinella’s career began with a sort of luck that rarely comes to most artists within their lifetime. What started out as a simple husband-and-wife duo fresh out of college quickly grew to a full-fledged band that blended Bluegrass, Country and Jazz. The combination of Robinella's honey-sweet vocals with violin, mandolin, bass, drums and piano captivated audiences, thus creating the ever popular Robinella & the CC Stringband.

Colin Bracewell +The Penny Peaches + Love House
Colin Bracewell, a 23-year-old indie pop artist from Minneapolis, MN is paving his own, fresh path within the Midwest music scene. Originally hailing from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Colin blends inspiration from the likes of Justin Vernon and John Mayer, though his music holds a raw and unabashed post-Frank Ocean R&B quality. || THE PENNY PEACHES || The Penny Peaches are a family band with an alt-Americana sound. Sister songwriters Hattie and Grace Peach feature lyrical storytelling, blood harmonies, and soaring melodies in their songs. Hattie brings lead vocals, acoustic guitar, and fiddle to the group. Grace adds sweet harmonies and melodic bass lines, while Dad and drummer John keeps tempo on the kit. || LOVEHOUSE || Lovehouse is an indie rock band, beginning as the recording brainchild of Henry Seymour (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) and Parker Reudy (Lead Guitar). Starting in Duluth, Minnesota, the band was powered by raw lyrics, bright guitars, and a scruffy demeanor. After rounding out the roster with Joe Flood (Bass Guitar) and Kevin Fischer (Drums) some years later, Lovehouse recorded their debut EP, Shades of Red. Lovehouse delivers an original, captivating vibe that is all their own, consisting of both energetic danceable songs, as well as introspective heartfelt tunes. Unabashed by the norms, Lovehouse is a group of Midwestern homebodies who play their own style of music, creating an ageless, relatable, and painfully honest sound for our times. They now reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota, looking forward to their bright future.
